I think 1030 Case tractors are great looking machines,Ilike their style.I've heard that they are good tractors.A re they"user friendly" or cumbersome? How is fuel economy?Power/lugging ability(like other Cases it should be good)? Thanks far the info.Steve

I've heard that they are overpowered for the drive train that they share with the 930. Reliability problems if you try to harness all those ponies. Run it like a 930, and you'll be OK.

I have a 1030 that has been in the family since new, 1969. Not only good looking they are tough, economical, reliable and easy to service. I am not sure if they are easy to fix because we never had to fix ours. Not having a turbo and a powershift, Torque Amplifer, Multi Power, AmpliTorque or whatever is a blessing in a 40+ year old tractor. It you want to go faster throttle up, to go slower throttle down. During my dads era the 4020, the 1066 and the G1000 left the farm. I am glad the 1030 was the one that stayed. Wear earplugs on the 1030 though, you are going to need them.
