Bought a new Craftman motor unit and it works fine with the old sensors. Must have been an internal electronic issue on the motor unit. BUT... it does not work with the remotes from my '04 model so had to get new ones.

We had one that kept reversing once and I cleaned the circuit board with contact cleaner and it fixed it, it was quite old and full of dust.
