Ok bring up computor this morning and had a couple of issues with the screen and things popping up and the size etc. Well got all fixed but on full size it covers up the tool bar at the bottom, as in time, access to desktop,IE, and whatever else that is normally there. If I min. the screen it shows, but full size it is covered up. I"m not able to click on bottom border and drag it up to make it show,or any of the borders for that matter. This what happens when do-gooder relative come in and ar gonna fix all your problems then leave when ya aint lookin. Thanks for your help

Is the toolbar covered up or turned off? I turn mine off by accident every once in a while and then have to scratch my head to remember how to turn it back on.

Im not sure. the dummy that I am because it shows at the bottom when I minimize my screen so I just assume it is covered up some how. thanks

you can try right clicking on the taskbar then click properties then in that window check the box to keep the taskbar on top then click ok that should help you out

Sounds like the aspect size of the monitor, likely they adjusted the screen for better resolution, 800x600 to something higher like 1280x900.

You can look at monitor and you will find a menu button on the front or side panel. Press this and a number of options will come up, scroll to the ones for screen height, and screen width. This will allow you to bring in the sides or the top and bottom of the display, after that use the position options to centre up the display again.

Did your screen icons get smaller, if so they adjusted the resolution. You can right click the mouse on the desktop, in the menu that comes up click on settings (windows XP), there you will see a slide bar that allows you to change settings, the larger the numbers the more screen pixels you get. So I would adjust the monitor if you can.

Hope this helps

i keep mine set to be covered...its simple if you know the secret...just drag the cursor all the way to the bottom of screen and clock, etc. will pop rite up.
i got cussed out more n once back when i was still buildin and workin on these things because i'd set em all up like that if i had to reload windows for some reason.

When the grand kids use my computer for games sometimes they go in tools and click on full screen so they can see everything. This covers up the tool bar. I go back in Tools and unclick the full screen and it is normal again.

I would suggest to everyone that they set up a "Guest" account for anyone that uses their computer. It saves a lot of grief.
