Hope you are all having a great Christmas with family and friends. May you all live to be as majestic as these trees lining this gravel road near my home. If they could talk they would have some interesting stories to tell. Take time to pause and enjoy the simple things around you.
Best wishes for a happy and rewarding New Year.

Loren,

Thanks for the picture. We had just a skiff of snow last night here in Middle Tennessee. The grass is still showing through the snow, but it's a "white Christmas" just the same.

We had a calf born night before last. He's a really cute bull calf. He was having a Christmas feast on his mom this morning when I went out to feed the livestock.

God's blessings are too numerous to count.

Merry Christmas all.

Hoping everyone is having a Merry Christmas.
Yes, the trees are beautiful, we have a few scenes like that left here in Southern Michigan but they are fast disappearing because the old trees are such a hazard. Many of the old maples and oaks are so mature they shed limbs and split down badly when there's any wind or God forbid, ice accumulation. It's the policy of the road commissions to completely strip the roadsides of old growth when the road is rebuilt...and a good idea I guess. Also everything is cleared down the utility highline rightaways and that gets rid of a lot of the old trees too. Elm and Ash trees are pretty much a memory because of diseases that got them. Just a part of the changing scenes in our country.

When those trees were saplings they saw horses and buggys go by. It's nice to see a country road where the town hasn't cut down all the trees to make it easier to plow.

ACG - Merry Christmas and nice picture.

Central Illinois had about 5" of kinda wet snow yesterday and the trees were pretty this moring - just didn't have enough time to get a picture.

Very nice Loren, and good message, kinda like stop and smell the roses. Happy New Year to you also. J

I may be wrong but I think my friend has 1 of his 3 Case tractors that has a sticker on it saying Fassett Case. Holy cow, it just rung a bell, I think its his case 400, he also has a 730, and I think a case 600 or 630. I have used the tractor and saw the decal, prolly the 400!

MJ; what goes around comes around. The Amish have bought most of the small farms around here and the trees are again seeing a majority of the passing traffic being horse and buggy.

Merry Christmas Loren,
Always enjoy your pictures. And keep those Cases snug inside.
