OT/ Interesting Birthday

Today the 21st of December was my 74th Birthday, My 14 year old twin Grandsons came over and we got my twin 74 year old John Deere 'D' tractors out and played with them. We used 131407 to pull 131396, this one has just been completely rebuilt with 7 Inch Aluminum Pistons, all it needs is the Card and Mag rebuilt and installed. Just curious, any one else have twin Grandsons and two tractors that were built the same day that You were born at least 74 years ago? Another challenge, about a month ago my 4 year old Grandson was spending the day with me, I got the Four 4230 Gas burners out and he sat on Grandpa's lap and drove all four of them. Any other 4 year old tractor fanatics ever drove four of this model of tractor?

You ain't sticking your chest out just a little, are you? Well go ahead, you got something to stick it out about. Can't get no better than enjoying Grand Kids and your hobby all together!

Happy Birthday! And those tractors are something to be proud of. My 1958 Ford Pickup was built on MY birthday! Sure make them special doesn't it!

Glad to hear you had a special day!

I've got a 1949 G that was built and shipped the day I was born. Probably not worth a cent more to anyone else, but special to me!

Happy Birthday! That's quite a story.

I met you years ago in Ashland, OH when you were showing the Gold Deere. I was looking for my grandpa's F20 at the time and found it a short time later with some encouragement from you. I gave it to my oldest daughter since it was sold at my grandpa's estate sale the day she was born. It's a fourth generation family tractor even though it was bought and sold 3 times between the estate sale and when I found it.

Got a twin heifer in the feed lot.I was told it might not breed back or may be a problem with reproducing. She will go into someones freezer. She is smaller then the rest but she sure gets HER way with the bigger steers. Got a 51 super C I'm keeping too because its the year I was born. Anyway, happy b-day and glad you enjoyed your day.

Happy Birthday. Got a couple of 51 models, the year I was born but don't know the build dates. The manufacturing starting date on me is somewhere in mid-1950 LOL. Jim

My dad was really tight when it came to buying new refrigerators, washing machines, etc. for the house.

Just found out a few years ago that our '49 "A" was built on my mother"s birthday in 1949. She'd turn over in her grave if she knew he spent that much on something built on her birthday when she probably wanted (needed) something for the house.
