Seat Warmer

The wifes lastest whine is about not having heated seats in her car. Canadian Tire has a couple of heated seat pads that plug into the lighter socket for less than 50.00. Of course they are made in China. Has anybody tried these?

Maybe you opened Pandora's box with the "MADE IN CHINA THING",I for one ,"if I was A PURIST,I wouldn't buy em. But not being one, I certainly would gather as much information on em and if it is of a positive nature, then guess what? I would buy em for the Mrs.

That's why i hate leather seats, hot in the summer time and very cold in the winter time.I'll take cloth anytime.

I just doubt there is any such thing that isn't made in China? Perhaps an industrial supply for sale to industry; but then it likely wouldn't be something a Mrs would want to be on a car seat.

I doubt there would be an alternative origin. Perhaps there are different quality levels, but will all come from the same country?

We need to keep selling them soybeans and of late corn, to keep some sort of balance if trade.....

Looked at after market seat heaters but bought wife heated throw blanket for use in diesel truck. It's about 56" x 68", has 2 heat ranges, and auto off. More versatile than seat pad: she uses it to sit on, on seatback/shoulders, or over lap and legs, stores in bag. Had it 2 years, made in China, no problems. Think it was $40, and she loves it.
Also agree on cloth rather than leather seats.

I have tried a set of seat heaters fom Can Tire. They were on sale for about $12 each and so far so good on second winter with them. Beats the heck out of cold vinyl thats for sure! lol

If one can afford leather seats, they should be able to afford heated leather seats? It's what I got for my wife's truck!

Be the best 50 bucks you ever spent. Wifes vehicle has leather seats that have built in heaters. Seriously thinking of finding a heated seat for my car and just hooking it up with a toggle switch.
