I have a tail light out on my 06 F-350. I found the two primary screws that hold it, but there must be one of those plastic bayonets that is still holding it in. Any body know what direction to pull it and the trick to gripping it to pull it in the right direction?

Try looking for a screw when you open the tailgate. Some trucks had a screww located there.

There are 2 screws that you mention, then there are a couple of plastic "studs" closest to the outside of the box that snap in with some clips, very very gently, put a rag or cloth against the painted surface then use a small screw driver and just pry the light out, once the screws that you got out, are out, it just snaps in and out. Easy to do. Hope it works!..------ ------

Thanks guys, I folded over a paper bag and then used a putty knife between the screwdriver and the plastic to spread the stress. It popped out. the fasteners point out at an angle halfway between side and back.
