just had a bad one

I heard a boom just a little while ago. Looked out the window and a pickup had hit the culvert at the west driveway and spun around. Set off the airbags. I could see an older kid trying to pull an older guy out across the seat without any luck. The wife ran out the door and told me to call nine one one. The road is glare ice and it's too cold for the salt to work. Didn't think the ambulance would ever get here. The old guy had just had heart surgery a few weeks ago and probably shouldn't have even been driving. The kid was recovering from a broken hip. The wife was getting nerved up. Said the old guys heart was slowing down and he was having trouble breathing. Meanwhile, the idiots were still whizzing by as if nothing was going on while the nose of the pickup was sticking out in the road. Some days I don't think ANYBODY should have a drivers license!

out here they would have all been slowing down to see who it was. then you"d get 3 or more sliding into each other besides the first one.

25-30 years ago, I had an auto body shop across a large intersection from a big grocery store.

When I'd be working, I'd frequently hear a screech, and once in a while there'd be a "thud" at the end. I had the police number programmed into my telephone, and when I'd call the police they wouldn't even ask questions, they'd just say, "We'll be right down".

Been glare ice on the roads here too since Friday evening, too cold to melt.

Was going 15 mph behind a slow slow car, it was going down the middle of the lanes to an exit other side of the bridge.

When it finally pulled over into the exit, drove by, was a younger blonde, working over the cell phone pretty hard.

Sheez. Put the dern thing down and pay attention to _driving_.

Been lots in the ditch around here, craters all along the road where they had to be pulled out.

Just a reminder, never stick your self between anyone, and a uundeployed air bag after a accident.

If you drive up to a acciden, and the auto is on the roadway, park at a 45 degree angle to protect yourself in case soom idiot does hit you, your auto wheels should direct your auto away from you helping the victum, rather than directly at you.

I personaly think if you can get someone up the road a ways, and can face traffic...keep pulling the headlights on and off. Flashers are useless, no one even lets off a tiny bit for those things nowdays.

Anyone ever wonder how stoned the highway crew workers must be before walking out on the roadway to do repairs?
