O.T. Chevy vibration revisited

Thanks for all the responses to my question. Took the driveshaft off again this AM. Just by looking at it and twisting and turning all around every thing looked good. Went ahead and started pressing apart the U-joints and what do you know! The center one had two dry bearing cups next to each other. the other two looked good. Replaced it and the other two U-joints, installed it tonight and VIOLA! no vibration. Thanks to all.
 
to add a little info:
the older chevs with the two piece drive shaft and steady brg. in the middle. the driveshaft had to be timed, meaning the u joints had to be lined up properly from one shaft to the next.there was usually a master spline on the front shaft. if not lined up this cased a vibration.

To bad,,, I was looking for a set of tires for ya that would sing Wish I was in the land of Dixie... :lol: Most that really know their stuff would have seen the rust/dust around the seal for the cap as a tip off they were dry,,, Good job and thanks for the fix reply...
