we have a jubilee with the rear wheel locked only in forward direction of travel like the brake shoes have slipped but thats not the case has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it Thanks

Sounds like it could be a wheel bearing. Had the front wheel bearing to lock on a olds toronado one time. It locked going forward, but could go backward.

you'll have to pull it apart and see what happened it could be brake parts have slipped and wedged between the drum and shoe, or a rock, or the bearing has come apart, no way to tell untill you pull it down , let us know what you find and we'll take it from there

we already have it apart everything looks to be in palce and secure that is why we are puzzled i guess it could be the bearings but it looks like it would be hard to turn forward and backwards not just forward we appreciate all the info thanks again
