Lloyd In South Carolina

Let me start by saying, I do know what cold is, I'm originally from the North. Moved here when in my mid-40's. After I moved to South Carolina, I found another kind of cold, high 30's, low 40's with very high humidity can be raw. Don't spread the news, bad for our tourism but it can be uncomfortable here! Shhh!!!
Anyway, My wife and I are avid motorcyclist, traveled most of the lower 48 states, numerous trips. I've posted lots of pics from those trips. There are a handful of motorcycle clothing vendors who sell electric clothes, entire outfits if you wish. We both have electric vests. To protect itself from loosing core temperature the body restricts blood flow to the limbs when it reacts to cold, core loss of temperature. This is why frostbite gets the hands and feet first. With the electric vest, the core stays warm, or if set on high very warm. Therefore the warm blood continues to flow through the limbs, and hands, feet etc stay warm as well. Amamzing difference!
I have a plug on my tractor, very cold days, spending a lot of time on that seat I dig out my electric vest and forget the cold. Works even better on the tractor, many more watts of power, and no 60 mph winds! (unless something went very wrong) :-(
