Remember Hoard's Dairyman cow judging contests?
Here is a different spin I've kept in my desk for years. And ever since I've always tried to carry more than one ink pen. Funny how things like that stick with you.

That's great!

Reminds me of the time when I was a senior in high school our FFA chapter had a cattle judging contest at the County Fair grounds with all the FFA chapters in the county on hand. They had the usual bunch of pens, each with four cows in it, each cow numbered.

A couple of my buddies and I filled out our forms with random numbers, gave them to some stooge to turn in at the appropriate time, went up the road 10 miles to a tavern that was isolated and not too particular, and drank beer for an hour or two.

We got back just in time to find out I'd won the contest on the random numbers I'd written out. There was a big trophy and cash award, my picture was taken for the local newspaper, (which I became manager of 15 years later) etc.

I know the County Ag Agent smelled a rat during the presentation, but he had no choice but to go along with it.

Memories...........
