Be careful out there. Last update, police suspect alcohol was involved. Guy was only 22 years old.

I would not jump to many conclusions on that one. That happens all to often, be it farm equipment or vehicle I can count half a dozen incidents within the last year when I signaled, slowed down and swung out/ started to turn and was passed in the process. We all need to slow down and stay alert.

Friend of mine is a bicycle rider. He had the same problem, hand signaled to turn in his drive, lady that was behind thought he was signaling for her to pass on left, as he turned left she T boned him. He was in the hospital for 3 days, but is alive to talk about it.

Most drivers today don't know what turn indicator lights are or how they work let alone expect them to understand hand signals.

You aren't supposed to pass a piece of farm machinery from behind before slowing to it's speed, at least that's the way it is here. Most people don't do it though.
