did the scan. no big deal. for being during the thanksgiving high travel times, everything sailed right thru. some travelers when thru the pat down, was done off to the side, but the security people were very professional about it. houston airport had this scanner that was like a star trek thing, you went in side and it kind of spun around you. you went thru the metal detector first, and if you kept beeping, you got to go in the transporter. (seemed like the snotty ignorant travelers got to ride in there too). chicago airport had a flat panel scanner, you kind of stood there with your arms up for a second or two. roatan honduras airport had the metal detector, and then random pat downs. no biggie there either. rather be safe than sorry!!!!

Yes no big deal!!!! We don"t need that little piece of paper called a Constitution any more. What is a little search and a grope. We "HAVE" to be fair about it. We would not want to offend Ahab. So we search everyone else so the sheepal are happy thinking how safe they are.
I fought a war for this country and still carry shrapnel to prove it. That same war junk would make a trip just about impossible today. I am "really" happy about that. So happy that I will not fly for any reason until the sheep quit giving away their rights to big Brother.

I just returned to NC from holiday in Calif. I had NO problems...NO full body scanner that I was aware of...NO pat-down(s)...and very polite, smiling TSA!!
My check-in(s) were "normal" with the usual empty pockets...shoes off...hand carried stuff in trays...then the "usual" walk-through metal detector.

I firmly believe that the news media wants to blow this stuff all out of proportion to maintain a self perpetuating story. I left from Charlotte NC...got out of/re-entered "secure" area in San Francisco. Left from Sacramento...got out of/re-entered "secure" area in Houston.

I don't mind the metal detectors and the wand, I just think the TSA should take some lessons from Israel and LOOK for the suspicious ones. 'Course now if I was a terrorist I'd just go for the long line waiting to get scanned....8^(
