Backhoe Pins Bushings

I had a post on the JD side about a 300 backhoe I'm looking at, but want to post on this page for info on a source for pins & bushings at a reasonable price. I found a company called Joseph Industries that has quite a selection of parts, but had no direct experience with them. Anyone had to change out all or most pins & bushing on a backhoe? If so, where did you get your parts from? This one is a Deere but figured some companies sell parts for several brands. Thanks.

First, it depends on what model backhoe you've got. 300 is the tractor model, not the hoe. You've probably got a 92, 9250, or 9250A.

Also, those model hoes have some odd-ball pins and busings with tapered ends and adjustable bushings.

If you've got a hoe with just one swing cylinder, things can get even more complicated when the connector-yoke gets worn.

I can suggest plenty of aftermarket fixes IF I know what model backhoe, and what areas you are trying to fix.

jdemaris,

I'll get the model # of the actual backhoe unit on Weds.

If you can, send me an email to oldtractorshed at bellsouth dot net....I'll try to call sometime later this afternoon--when you get a break from work or whatever....thks.

I have a case 480E I have replaced darn near everything at least once. Some pins and bushings believe it or not are reasonable at the Case dealer. Some aren't, I have had the expensive ones made at a local machine shop, that rebuilds a lot of oilfield equipment. The cylinder kits are the same way, some are $26 some are $126 The same machine shop can get the expensive ones for $50. So I would check with the dealer first. Our JD dealer will also get you after market stuff if they can find it.

You'd better check what model fuel injection pump is on that 300. Looks like it's a CBC, but I'm not sure. NO parts are availble to fix if it craps out. Will be a $2000 repair to convert to a current pump. If a CBC and it fails, you'd have to convert to a DB or JDB. Very expensive.

I also see it's single-cylinder 92 or 9250 hoe. It is likely to have a lot of slop in the swing yoke.
