We are restoring an old truck that has 750/825 20 tires with budd/lock ring wheels. The real question is what if any options do i have to update to may be tubless/radial They are 5 bolt wheels. I do not own modern trailer trucks so am a little out of it on modern tires. Big problem would be the looks of it i guess.

Those tubless rims were popular on school busses, you might want to check someone like Vanderhaags used truck parts. If they dont have them, some of the guys will take your number and call when they come in.

Not a problem - I just put a set on for steer tires on one of my buses. With tubes and mounting I think it came to about $850. I could have done bias for a good bit cheaper but have new radials on the back.

Jocco, you didn't say what the truck is.The 5 hole pattern that Ford,Int.,Dodge and Studie.used from early 40s to mid-late 50s,there are no modern made wheels available, only custom or put your centers in new rims.

I've got 10.00-22's on my '78 f-600 with 5 lug wheels..I bought 'em with great tires for $250.00 from a truck that was being junked out..Big improvement over the 7.50-20's that came on it...You just have to keep your eyes open for a good deal....

Well if you want to spend some cash. You can change them over to the 10 bolt budd wheels, by taking the old bearings from the hub you have to any truck parts house they can get the hubs you need.
