I'll post a few pictures from the Galesburg plow day. That was TOUGH plowing!!! I have plowed a lot of river bottom gumbo and it pulls every bit as hard or more. Kevin Larkey let me take his 1650 and 3 bottom Oliver plow for a round(3/4 mile rows). That's John Swanson on the Cockshutt 1650 and Kevin Larkey chasing him on his 1650. All in all, a good day. Thanks Chris,
Think I have a couple more of the horses that Oldblu sent me - will try to post.

By the way, if them tractors are chugging, what about the horses!

Yep, found them - just not that quick!

Wish I could have made it. WORK is/isn't a four letter word!

My grandfather plowed with a single bottom plow behind horses. He said he could do more work with a single bottom than a two bottom plow. Don't remember if he was talking about two 12" bottoms compared to a single 14".

Love the pics of the horses. I was at a trail ride last w/e and a friend was riding a Percheron. They are sooooo big!

Kruser, The picture of the team of six is definitely picture frame or calendar worthy.
I liked it so much I made it the background picture on my computer.
Thanks to both of you guys for the wonderful pictures!!
