1850's here!

I needed to find a big Tilt & Load truck to winch it onto so we could get it to the ground, as the trucker didn't have ramps. They were done unloading so quickly I didn't get a chance to take any pics of the process. Hooked up a battery, poured some coolant in the rad due to the split rad hose, and it fired right up. Shut it down as soon as I got down the driveway.

Cosmetically it looks rough and/or goofy (with the incorrect side panels), but the engine sounds great and it shifts nicely in all gears.

Some replaced guages, finding an operator's manual, new fatter tires or duals, wiring, maybe some paint if I'm really ambitious, and I think I've got my life-long heavy-work tractor.

The first name that came to mind was Bam-Bam, and it stuck.

I seen one at XIT Show/Pull in Dalhart, TX that was completely restored and running on bio-fuel. They hooked it to the heavy weight sled for exibition and couldn't stop it. Sharp tractor.

Jason, Many, many years ago I worked for a successful farmer in Minnesota who had an Oliver 1850 and a 955. Those were great tractors.

I was farming a small farm for myself using an old Framall Super M. I loved to work on his farm. I never was able to grow enough to need the big tractors, but I sure enjoyed working with them.

The spears are just on the wrong sides. Swap them out side for side & they'll be right. The panels themselves almost appear to be off a 55 series like an 1855. I guess they do look kinda goofy.

Good find though, and if you don't plan to use the trctor much you could always help fund your project by selling/trading your fuel tank fenders for normal fenders. I put a set on my 1855 and they're pretty nice.

Actually if you look carefully, the guy put 1750 panels on there and sloshed on some sort of paint to create an "8", as the original panels were accidentally mangled. He had a parts 1750 in the bone yard.
I've got to find proper side panels!
