Anticipation is killing me

I'm impatiently waiting for the arrival of the Cockshutt 1850 I bought the other day. I was sort of near it picking up some other Ag equipment, so I thought I'd drive the extra distance and take a look. I had the money with me just in case, but I thought there'd be something that scared me off. And now the waiting game...

That is a bigboy, are you going to work it? Saw one sell at a retirement auction here in Alberta for 6800.00, ran nice with cab and good tires. Dan

Jason - I spent MANY happy hours as a kid running our Oliver 1850. Back then it was "big iron". It was always my favorite tractor to operate - especially for plowing.

Hope you enjoy your 1850 as much as I did!

It'll be put into semi-retirement, as I'll probably only put 70 hours a year on it. Plowing, discing, a little subsoiling, and if we ever get into round baling. We're in moderately heavy clay loam, so those hours will be hard hours.
Tires will need replacing when the money allows it, and hopefully I can score some duals for it.
I just got off the phone with the trucker - says he'll see me just after lunch tomorrow, but I've got to find a tilt-n-load truck to help unload, as the trucker doesn't have ramps.
