I know the "what you do for a living" thread comes up every few months and I believe I've posted a time or two that I work in a steel mill running a ladle crane.
Anywhoo, one of the guys at work sent an essay into Good Morning America for their "work with me" segment and a couple of weeks ago the GMA camera crews showed up while my crew was on and did some taping.
The segment is supposed to air on tomorrow's show if anyone is interested. You won't see me as I was up in my crane, but they did tape me deslagging a ladle (dumping the molten slag out). I guess the GMA crew got a kick out of it.
I have no idea how the segment will come out, but there should be some pretty interesting stuff to see.
Oh yea, they use steel to build tractors.
