Bad luck just keeps on coming

Just got my exhaust system fixed on my truck. Headed for the inspection station. Drive shaft snapped. Wonder what is going to fall off next.

If it means anything to you, last summer I replaced 2 front tires, the pitman & idler arms, center link, spider injectors, radiator and had the tranny rebuilt on a rust-free 1996 Chevy C1500. About $3000 for everything. A month later someone on a cell phone talking rear-ended me on the highway and totaled the truck. It took a month of arguing myself to get 5k for my truck and parts.

Just keep your fingers crossed.....

Old yes it is a Ford 1990 150. Then I find out mine has the larger transmission in it. Drive shaft is not the same as the smaller transmission. Must be true because I looked over two counties before I found one.Snapped off at the front ball joint.

Bob I know what you mean. Since July I have replaced.
1 Ball joints
2 Two tires
3 Master cylinder
4 Water Pump
5 Brake shoes
6 Exhaust Pipe
7 Head light bulbs
and now drive shaft. I think I will send my bill to the Government. Since they tell me I am living fine on disability.Maybe they will bail me out.

Ball joint?? Do you mean U- joint by chance. That is not a good place to have one snap because that can lead to a big flip problem. But hey if to did flip then it would be easy t read the directions LOL. Ya I'm pretty much a Chev man but do have a 1965 Ford 1 ton which probably has less mile on it then the one you drive. That 1965 I have has less then 82,000 on it from the factory

The other guy's insurance wanted to give me 3k. After bickering on the phone with them for a month, sending copies of all my receipts to them, plus truck values for other 1996-98 Chevy/GMC trucks being sold in the area, I finally got them to give me $5800. All that did was allow me to payoff the parts I had put in, and put a down payment on a newer truck.

My insurance company, Metlife, would give me $4600, take it or leave it. Soon, after this insurance mess is over, i will be leaving them.
