heading to memphis next week. saw a tv show on food net work about a black lady who had fantastic PAN FRIED CHICKEN. can't find it anywhere online , does anyone know the name or where it is located????

Used to be a place in Memphis that had fantastic Mandarin Duck, but I can't remember the name. I loved the place when I was in Memphis in the Marine Corps.
In fact, I got into trouble there once. I took a girl there on a date on a Friday night. Then made the mistake of going back with a different girl the next night. The maitre d' commented, "Came back for more tonight?", or some such. I could have brained him for not noticing it was a different girl.
I won't go into how I managed to talk my way out of that one.
