I have a John Deere Van Brunt seeder probably from the 50's or 60's that hasn"t been used for 20+ years but has always been shedded and is in good condition. It is 10' with wood seed and fert boxes and grass seed. Does anyone have any idea what it might be worth? Is it something people would collect or restore? Thanks.

With wood boxes it probably has high steel wheels ,it will date to the 1920 -1930 period. If it has wood wheels to around the turn of the century.

I got mine with wood wheels for a steal at $150. The Amish here in michigan really like them old ones. Mine was last pulled by horses the year before I got it, which was in 2005.

My McCormick Deering with wood wheels I bought at auction for $170. It was field ready. That was five or six years ago.

I picked one up from the late 40's. Mediocre condition, needed some adjustments and a few parts. Good paint, shed stored. Rubber wheels, hydraulic lift. Fertilizer attachnemt.
The price was, "please haul it off".
Around here a premium condition one might bring $400.

Got a decent 9ft one that last time used planted letters GOD BLESS AMERICA in Soybean stubble with Wheat,,. really don't need it , and need to move it to a good home ,, $250 to anyone ????

My wood box, wood wheel 11 hole John Deere Van Brunt drill was shipped in 1921. Anything with a wood box is much older than the 1950's. It's probably a model F, or a model FF if it has fertilizer attachment. No idea the value, but if it's in good shape would be very restorable and an unusual piece.
