This may cover a couple topics. remember the letric fence?--- Ok my furnace still has the one armed bandit style fuse box. - Remember the topic of doing stupid things? Welllll, I've always heard it best to check the tightness of fuse socket checking the screw that is in bottom of fuse socket, especially if in bare feet, standing on cement floor.
My day started with the post below while I was waiting for coffee to drip down through the filter up stairs I posted. I went up to find I forgot to turn on the pot so I flipped the switch and decided not to wait and I need my caffeine so I chugged a cold Pepsi. I went back down and tore the thermocouple off as it showed signs of being burnt and finely pitted.
While waiting for clock to pick up speed I decided to check above mentioned screws.
DON'T EVER forget to flip that arm on the side
of that box.--- If ya do ware good shoes???.
