Are the loading rates of cacl still the same for -35 f, roughly 4 to 5 lbs of cacl to 1 u.s. gal water , take it the cacl comes from a building supply center/lumber so the type and quality of cacl is unkown. The tire/tube size is a 11 - 28 , and there is approx 20 u.s. gal of ballast to add.

For a 5 lb solution and a 11.2 - 28 tire there would be 22 gal water to valve height and if type 1 cacl is used Again 5 lb cacl to 1 gal water.
If type 2 cacl 25% less cacl can be used, from what I gather anyway.

I like to be sure I've had my share follies.

cacl = calcium chloride

No idea why anybody would still use corrosive salt water in a tire now when better products can be had cheaply.
Pouring salt water into your machine is looking for trouble sooner or later.
I've used -40F windshield washer fluid diluted 10 to 1. Never had a stiff tire yet.
