allis chalmers ca

We're being told that anyone looking for an Allis would prefer to buy the tractor separate from the loader due to possible tranny probs.? I find this hard to believe, but would like some imput.

And, in addition, an alice chompers CA isn't much of a loader tractor!

(JUST kidding, mostly, but to be serious for a moment I can't imagine a CA being a serious player in the field of actually usable loader tractors today!)

Another old wives tale this current generation is worried about gas what kind of oil and 17 other tales that need to be checked out .

Depends entirely what you want to do with the loader. In a lot of jobs they will do the work the loader on a 50 horse or bigger tractor cannot do due to the physical size of the unit. For what I need a loader for that I now do not have it would be just right in size.

Just like here some of the roadways are 5 foot wide...trees that were 6 ft apart years ago
Would like to have a bigger tractor and implements.. but impractical

Chainsaw time next year on some of them...

Well kept by a responsible owner, no issue. Trashed with excess loads on rough ground and used too much from new, is not a good option.
A well kept old tractor is a better financial purchase than a modern import utility tractor. But only if the limitations are also considered.
Not much dealer support. Parts searching, Less utility. Fewer bells and whistles. Less safety interlocks and guards (ROPS). Jim
