72 F-100 P-up, Update

I have Spark to the plugs now after Filing the points,,, it had Champion F14Y in it and I have a set of NOS motorcraft BFR42"s I bought prob. 10yrs ago which is correct for this engine?? it"s a 302 2BBL thanks for all Advice Larry KF4LKU
 
In '72 I'd guess they were Autolites...the Champions were NOT factory. Ford bought Autolite in 1961 and owned them until the federal government made them split Autolite off [funny, buy GM got to keep AC/Delco] in an antitrust suit, the appeals of which were denied by the Supreme Court in March of 1972. It was after this that Ford revived its dormant Motorcraft subsidiary.

But the original Autolite spark plugs were BRF-42 resistor plugs [see link below].

Bought a brand new Mustang in 1965. At about 10000 miles I did an ignition tune up. Found 6 autolite plugs , 2 champion plugs and 3 heat ranges. Car didn't run all that much better after the tuneup.
