I have a JD 3010 diesel i checked the oil this morning, and i ground a batch of hog feed after i was done grinding i started dumping feed and the tractor started blowing blue smoke and started missing.i parked the tractor for a couple hrs and refired it and it ran perfectly like nothing was wrong.Ran great for about a minute and started doining it again, so i shut it off and checked the oil and the oil level was really low. anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong

Take off the air intake hose and see if it is real oily inside of the intake manifold. If the VENTILATOR pump skrews up it will pump the engine oil into the air intake.

Not one of Deere's better ideas, that ventilator pump. Most take them off, usually gutted them and connections plugged. If air cleaner or any part of air intake before ventilator pump restricts air flow they will draw oil through pump. Some engines were lost in this part of the country when used to run electric generators for power outages during snow storms and snow plugged air intake. If you do take it off though, you need to plug the oil feed into pump or you will lose oil pressure.
