OK, so after bilateral shoulder surgeries, the right pretty tore up, they have realized I have multiple cervical bulging discs, pinching nerves, spinal cord, causing me all kinds of problems-like can't do anything for more than ~ten minutes, can't drive, etc. etc. etc. Pretty screwed up, poor prognosis. I posted on here before about breaking my ankle meanwhile, infection set in and had the dog chew it all out-which worked. Ankle finally getting better, but limited motion/limping.
Now, a week ago I was playing with one of my dogs. Can't move as quick as I used to, he accidentally chomped down on my thumb. Large dog, plenty psi in his bite. He immediately let up, and was apologetic. My knuckle bled profusely for awhile, and swelled up to about twice its size, and has stayed that way. Wife talked me into seeing the doc 4 or 5 days later.
So now, along with all else, there's a staff infection and a large bone chip in my right thumb and they're evaluating it for surgery tomorrow.
Starting to feel like Tim Allen on Home Improvement.

Ain't life funny?
Keeping it interesting, anyway.
Since I can't work right now, guess its keepin me from gettin bored, at least.
Thanks for lettin me bend yer ear.
Take care, Dan

Dan, Really ,truly hope you get back to healing up. Health issues are the worst things that can happen. God Bless. WIll say a prayer for you. Reguards LOU.

If you didnt have bad luck you would have no luck at all would you, good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.I have learned that when we think we have all the trobles we can stand more comes along and we handle them.

maybe you should try leting the dog bite your dong then you would forget about your aches and pains while you chased your wife around the house .

UPDATE: NO Hospital stay!
They're gonna do a pre-op physical and make sure the infection is gone next Tuesday, Then take me in Wednesday, knock me out, tie the tendons back together, then drive a ten penny nail down the center of the thumb, that is through the center of the bone, and right on through the joint to hold it still until the tendons heal up.
Should be fun.
Hopin that nail is made in U.S.A. out of good material--an imported one will scare me.

The way things have been goin', It will probably get infected in the bone and they'll have to lop my whole friggin hand off...lol. Let's hope not  Hey, at least its outpatient!!! NO hospital stay, yay :D
When they remove the nail later, think I"m gonna take a good piece of osage to bite down on when they pull it out...
