Just wondering if anybody has heard from them today? Hope the weren"t affected by the tornado down near Dallas. Not exactly sure where they are located.

Place in Dallas is fine. Tornado was about 35 miles s. of us.

Not sure about the farm. We left there around 5:30 and stopped in town for dinner. When we left the restaurant tornado sirens were going off. Very nasty clouds to the north and a little east.

Had stormy weather most of the way home. At one point stopped under an under pass to wait out the hail storm.

Won"t know about the farm until Friday.

It must be tough to have to wait that long to find out. Do you have a neighbor or someone to keep an eye on the property for you?

We've got three good neighbors that live next to the farm.

Might consider giving one of them a call later today to see if everything is OK.

Thanks for asking.

About 3pm yesterday the first round of bad weather moved through at the farm.

Had a tornado warning in our immediate area, but only high wind, rain, and hail.

No damage from the first round; not sure about the second round that went through around 6pm.

We were in some bad weather from Mt. Pleasant, TX to Sulphur Springs, TX traveling on Interstate 30 West.

As Nancy metioned below, there was a tornado in Rice, TX which is about 40 miles South on Interstate 45 between Ennis, TX and Corsicana, TX.

Thanks for your concern and thanks for asking.

Glad you're OK !! them twisters don't come in my area much, seen a few mostly the county south of me but not very often,

go to www.weather.com. they have videos of the twister. Ugly rascal.

Did a lot of damage to the high school in Rice, Tx.

Nancy, DON'T stop under bridges or overpasses!! The wind is compressed when it goes through and is actually worse! Find shelter in a building, preferrably something of heavy masonry construction.

Glad to here your ok. Saw news clips from storm chasers on local evening news here in NY. You seem secure that you have no damage out on the farm.

Last I heard, Thurston and Lovie were still on that doggone island...with a professor that can make a radio out of coconuts and such, but can't manage to find a way to fix a boat.

Nancy did some research and found the bad weather was several miles North of our farm.

Went through an area that was bottom land North of Mt. Pleasant, TX.

Thanks for your concern.
