Nice looking truck; she's a very lucky young lady!

Better paint it pink so the "dudes" won't be driving it.

Be sure to park it somewhere far away from the riding lawnmower!

Or keep the windows rolled down!

The [b:654c4848f0]kruser[/b:654c4848f0] has got a few more years before shelling out big money for his daughter's truck.

Thanks for sharing the photos with us.

Nice truck. Get her to use the mirrors when backing up. Bought my daughter a new Ford ranger a few years ago. She was backing out of the driveway with the drivers door part way open looking out the door. The corner of the door caught in the bank and wrapped it around to the front fender. Truck had about 500 miles on it. DH

Jeez Glennster you can be my dad I"d like that in Aqua with 20" tires and rims. All kiddin a side it"s certainly lots of iron and keeps her safe! Like I saw a pink bumper sticker on a nice pickup the other day that said "Pickups are real girls toys!" Looks good!

Good deal - but you prolly started something now. Assume you have taken it out in the woods to make sure everything works OK?
Molly "started" liking Dodge Rams and has since progressed to Chevy Avelanges. Don't know what it will be in another 4 years or so but hope she keeps liken them trucks instead of them "fast" cars. Course thinking about it, our 3/4 ton will prolly have 200,000 miles on it about then - might be a good starter truck!

PS: You get them rocks moved yet or buy a compact tractor/skidsteer yet? Haven't seen much of your sage "wisdom" for a little bit.

Watched a situation unfold from my window in college, across the street from the Alpha Delta Pi sorority house.

Young lady's father had bought her a 1966 427 Corvette- she could never get it started in the winter (she drove like the church lady, and it was so carboned up it would barely run). After several episodes of the tow truck guy coming up and getting it started for her, it disappeared and a nice sensible Chevy II showed up in its place. I often wondered what they gave her on the trade- maybe $2,500?

i'm thinkin molly is gonna need a 4x4 tooo!!! she can pull ya put of the ditch when ya get stuck!!

got about 20 tons of rock set so far with the 42 ft elevator. neighbor gave me an old 72 ft kewaunnee thats out in the woods. i got it loose and running, but have to section on about 15 feet of chain. already got the chains and flightings riveted, got to install it back on the elevator this weekend. then got to move it about 1/2 mile to the other side of the creek. it doesnt have any runing gear under it, so i am gonna need to farmerize some kind of cradle.

That truck looks like it's in great shape. She will turn some guy's head in that. I know because my head is always turning when I see a girl driving a pickup!

Nice--
Just a thought, if you already haven't, you may want to discuss and have reminders from time to time about judging how much its rained vs. how muddy the road will be, practical snow depths for driving in, etc.

Don't ask me how I know, or why I mention it, I'll just say
My daughter's first vehicle was a 4 x 4 as well.

Looks great. I like the idea that it is a pickup cab which limits the number of occupants. Seems the more occupants the more mishaps teens have. Illinois actually limits the number of passengers a young teen driver can convey at one time, or soon will.

I don't know how your daughter drives, i.e. conservatively or wild, but I am concerned about the high profile of the truck and the possibility of roll over. Any way to lower the center of gravity on it at least for awhile until she has more driving experience? With that high profile at least stress the importance of seatbelts to limit ejection during a roll over. I think that is how most teen deaths occur in accidents.

she is a very conservative driver, doesnt speed or take risks. even on the atv's , she is a slow driver, just prefers to cruise around. she wanted the small cab so she doesnt get a lot of "occupants mooching a ride"

Girls love trucks!...here's my daughter's first (and only) daily driver. Great thing about a truck (guess this qualifies)- room for a bale or a saddle in back, and no back seat for excessive passengers.

I'm sure she'll love it!
