I finally was able to find time to go and get the implements that I purchased from a friend of mine. First talked about buying his stuff in the spring and payed him for it in the middle of summer and finally I went to go pick it up today. I bought a John Deere Hay rake for $100. A John Deere #5 sickle mower for $25 and the rear gangs to a mounted cultivator for $15. But to sweeten the deal the mans son, who is also a friend, let me have his John Deere #8 sickle mower for free. The hay rake looks great and so does the John Deere #8 sickle mower, but the John Deere #5 will need some work as there are broken pieces. Here are some pictures of the implements. I stopped the truck and photographed the hay rake when it was in route to my place. I had to go 5 miles on gravel and it took a while but I got it home. I am happy everything worked out and now it is time to play with my new toys. Thanks for reading from Nebraska, Andrew.(Thats me in the photo)

The pictures are great because they look right out of the day especially the pickup and I remember when except for the rake they were all new and we had the rake too!

Yea she runs and drives great. Its a 1958 Ford Custom 300 4 door sedan with a 223 straight 6 and 3 on the tree and it has 85000 miles. I take her to the car shows around here in the summer. I bought that car 2 years ago and shes so much fun and really turns some heads.

Good eye Mike (WA) yes that is an Edsel in the background. Its a 1959 Edsel Ranger 4 door sedan. It has a 292 V 8 with 3 on the tree and has 75000 miles on her. I just purchased that car about 2 months ago and shes a lot of fun. You must really know your old cars!!

The truck is a 1965 Ford F250 with a 352 V8 and an Automatic transmission and it has 90000 miles on it. Good old truck that runs and drives great!!

i stuck a old 352 police interceptor engine in my '79 F350...pulls great with a 4 speed.

Man that rake brings back memories, I have 3 of those old 594 rakes, always liked the way they raked, fluffed the windrow instead of twisting it up like a rope. Glad I have upgraded though!

You got a very good deal on that rake, Here one in working condition is $500 up and parts rakes $50 to $190 that I am buying 3 to make into two for resale to the Amish.

A friend of mine bought a brand new '58 Ford Hardtop with the 332 "Interceptor" engine and AT. It was pretty "hot" back in the day and he put a set of glasspacks on it which really sounded cool. Aren't those Olds "Fiesta" hubcaps?
They were also the hot ticket back in the day!!
