nother hot pepper

I grew 4 different types of hot peppers this year. The common Jalapeno, the Tabasco, the Chili and a new one on me called a Salsa pepper. I have canned all 4 types and made jelly with the Jalapeno and dried the Tabasco today and learned a few new things in doing them today. My nose if no longer clogged up and my lips are still burning a little and that is after washing my hands a few times and even still I touch my mouth and the burn starts right back up. Guess I should have put on my rubbnr gloves again LOL
 
nothing like that hot pepper dust to clear you up and remind you where your hands have been.Just remember that capsasin will linger on your hands.
 
Haha. I love how they give him a glass of water. Might as well pour salt on a wound. Give the poor guy a corn chip!

I put about 16qt of salsa in the freezer this fall in 2 days time. I was always careful about washing, but man, there is just no getting rid of that capsasin once it's absorbed into your cuticles. It took three days before my fingernails quit hurting. I've never had a problem before, but due to weather, I made all the salsa at once even using the frozen 'maters. Ouch.
