Tractor tire and rim sizes

I have a 65 model Ford 4000 All purpose tractor that I need new tires and since one of the rims has rusted out, possibly two new rims. The one"s on it now are power adjusting or spin-out rims. The tire size is 13.6 x 38. I am having a hard time finding the original size rims and was wondering if I could use a different size tire on it without it looking like it is sitting down in the rearend.

I know what you mean I never like to see the backend down. To be honist if you put the orignal size on you probably won't like it. Most orignal sizes are too small looking if you ask me. I always make it a habit to look around at shows at different tires sizes and rims. I right down the sizes that look good. Also the brand and style can make a big differnce in size even if there are two the exact sizes. Some have a taller sidewall or taller lugs

If you can find a rim that is one inch wider than stock you can get some Firestone Traction Field and Roads, if you can find them. They are a little wider than the 13.6X38 but about the same height. They also made a Field and Road, had less bars and didnot hold as good.

My 4610 Ford ALL PURPOSE (at least its NOT the SU with swept back front axle)...I'm running 16.9x30 and 16inch truck tires on the front. You can "level it up" some by watching what you run on the front.

Thanks for the wheel and rim website Gary..... Now lets say that I did not want the spin out rims on the tractor anymore. Does anyone know of a different wheel and tire size that would work on the tractor and still be the same height? I stopped by two tractor dealerships today on the way home from work and neither could tell me if different rims/centers/ and tires would work with this animal. The height of the 13.6 x 38 tire is approx 57".

I"m still looking for rims!!! Does anyone know if 16.5-38 spin outs can be used on this tractor? I don"t have enough experience fiddling with tractors to know for sure.

15.5 X 38 is the largest rim I found in NH parts schematic for a 4000. Any standard 8 hole rear tractor rim should fit as agriculture rims are fairly universal.
I've never seen in person a 4000 with 38" rear wheels/tires.
