Picking Corn in South Central MN

Mounted picker very convenient for opening up the field. I hated hand picking the first two rows! And we picked into flat bed box wagons, unloaded with a scoop fork. Lots more like work!
 
Looks like a effective operation. Never went that fast with a picker, never could push the corn over the husking rolls that fast. What is your market for ear corn.
 
Yeah for the most part thats what we use the mounted picker for, opening fields and picking rows through the field. Yeah we try to keep the manual labor down. Gravity wagons make it so much easier.
 
Hand picking those first two rows wasn't so bad. Just me and the dog, do the work, lots of thinking time. I didn't like it as a kid, but as an adult it kind of grew on me. Guess I'm getting old!
