HOW TO ATTACH PHOTO {S) to messages?

Do you have a step by step that I can use to attach photo(S) to my post and?or to attach to a reply? I have tried repeatedly to send photos of the Mackinac Bridge crossing Parade to two posts and can't seem to get it to work. I appreciate your help.

I put mine into Photobucket, where you can size them as well-I have mine set to the message board size, and it is a good size. Then you copy and paste the IMG code under your picture right onto the message box. Press preview, and if it does not show up, it won't on reply either. Short synapsis (sp) but hits the high points.
