my lap top is on its last leg, i have a i4phone and do like it so was thinking maybe a mac. but also a regular lap top. so if you were buying one what would you all want. computers are like buildings never big enough for all the things one brings home. one othe thing it see i have to log in two three time to post anyone eles have that problem

Since I have the iphone I use the laptop less and less. Planning to get the ipad sometime soon and that might be the end of the line for me and laptops. I like the instant on of the iphone and so far have had no virus problems with it on the web - i like that a lot.

Computers have been a hobby of mine for about 10 years. You can get quite a lot of computer nowadays for next to nothing.
Check out www.newegg.com for good deals on laptops and electronics.
If your old laptop is a few years old and still runs Windows XP you could max out the memory and put a bigger and faster harddrive in it and run it a while longer if money is a little tight right now.
My preference would be an Acer just because of the warranty. Good luck.
