What tractor would you like?

If you could have one tractor from the past what would it be. I have always been an IH fan but I think the one I would like to have would be a JD 6030.

I've always loved a 1256 IH, not really practical for what I do but I love the looks and sound of them.

That's a hard question to answer. We have to have several sizes of tractors to keep our operation running, so it would be hard to narrow it down to one. We use several older Massey Fergusons, though, and I'd love to have a 175 like ours in new condition. It still gets the job done, but its age is certainly showing.

The very first or very last 4020 diesel that Deere built. Might as well go---- for the dough.lol.

Im with you on the Case, But then Id have to get me a boiler opr. lisence. Maybe a Titan or an oilpull. May as well get something realy cool.

JD 4960 or 4450 either fully equipped with SG cab, PS, MFWD, the works. 7200 or 8900 series Magnums would suit me fine, too.

806 1206 856 12 or 1456 makes no difference. Any of them will pull the jd"s to the junk yard.

Yeah even though JD had better brakes, better PTO, better steering, better hydraulics, and NO TA....

anything CASE !, especially the OLd orange ones ,thats what my Fore Fathers Ran ,and i always Say a PRAYER IN MEMORY OF THEM when working with the Old Gents , .. I like them ALL no matter what rainbow of color . No One Said this YET ,, My favorite is one that is Always ready to go , never breaks down Rarely needs Fuel , is apllicable to most any job , My 430 diesel CASE comes very Close to those specs,,

10-20 McCormick Deering. Not to farm with but just to play with as they were a man killer to drive.

My tractor of choice would be a later model AC 190XT, with the upgraded rear end and cab. Big enough to do everything I need and would complement Dads WD45 very nicely.

SMDTA- or if you prefer SMTA Diesel. I have Stage 1 and Stage 2 SMD's, just not the top dog.
Also an early 1206- they came out after we sold out of the dealership, and our pair of 706D's and the neighbor's 806D were still hot stuff, then one of the larger potato farmers showed up with a pair of 1206's, had dual 18.4-38's and MFWD conversions on them, to replace the D4's pulling the potato planters- had them parked right out by the highway in formation, and people would just stop and stare at them- the 1206 was unheard of, as was MFWD- IIRC, they had military front axles adapted to them, and a couple of M's were parked next to them, looked like Cub Cadets next to those two beasts

Ford 861 diesel. 5 speed, 45 HP, live PTO and good lookin'. (My opinion only) I would go a long way to find one in excellent condition.
