Mini Steam Tractor that works

My father built a mini Steam Tractor from scratch about 15 years ago . Since then he has pasted away . We had this tractor in the lobby of our company for years . We are selling the building and we dont know what to do with it . It is a really cool piece . Does anyone know where i could sell this and does anybody know what kind of price i should offer it ... I can send anyone pics if they could help me out . If someone gets a buyer I will throw you a finders fee .

Ohhh! The shame!! What can be in your mind, to do that? Was Dear old Dad a bad guy? Did he leave the family and take up with some hussy, did he run off with the towns rich widder-woman?
Here's why i ask that: My grand-father had a very large collection of Indian arrow heads and other stuff related to the early Americans! When the stock market crashed, around the 1930's, he lost his shirt, so he sold his collection!
Thru the years, i always wished he had saved a bit of it, but-it all went to some rich collector. Only thing i have is a newspaper picture of him showing the collection to somebody.
So, hang onto that steam engine! He'll be turning over in his grave if you shamefully sell it to somebody else! And, years later, guess what you will be kicking, when you think back, trying to remember things about your Dad!

I wouldn't think some things would be for sale...at any price. I guess I'd be wrong. I have the stock off my dads target rifle. He custom carved it from a blank stock to fit his weight and body type. It must have been pretty good because he won the Alberta championship so many times, they gave him the trophy. He was one of only 3 masters (marksmen) in Canada in the 50's and competed all over the world. The stock less the rifle is worth over $1000. I wouldn't dream of ever selling it. That's just not right. Dave

Please, before you sell it for a token price, if you must get rid of it, consider "loaning" it to a museum or a tractor club. There are many that would appreciate it and then others can enjoy it too. If it is copied from a known brand of steam tractor there may be a company museum that would buy it.

Sometimes the builder tells the kids to go ahead and get rid of it if they want. Maybe none of the kids have a place for it, or share any of the ideas Dad had. My son' will fight over my tools and motorcycles if they are allowed, but I don't want that. I have it set up for them to have an equal amount, and if anyone fusses, they lose all... They already know it. They also know I'll come back, and haunt them if they try anything (still got'em spoofed). I wish I had more of my Granddad and Dad's stuff, because a lot of it could still be used today, but in each case, I was not in a place to make the decisions. But, give the guy a break, we don't know his situation, and it may be a "have to get rid of it" situation, especially with the economy today. Post pictures, and maybe someone can help, or may want it.

I couldn't and wouldn't sell it. To each, his or her own though. Good luck one way or the other.

I ran across a working miniature V-12 over at YouTube some time back, all fired up and everything. I'll see if I can find it again. Here you go. If my father took the time to make something so priceless, I couldn't get rid of it. Loan to a museum or something perhaps, but not out of the family.

Not everyone is as sentimental as the next guy.
A thing built by dear old Dad may have little value to someone who has no interest or room for it and they might have other good memories and things given by him.
A steam engine of whatever size doesn't exactly fit into some people's lifestyle.
Selling it may be the best solution for him.
I sure don't think it makes him heartless.
I mean, let's not get maudlin here.
