Basement project

Heres update . I bolted a 10 channel iron to wall studs on front and around corner. This will carry load pretty good . I could not use beams under this part because of the way joists run . Lifted bout 1/2 inch. Going to let it set for day to make sure it stays. Then block comes out and dig out for new footings. Working way around house starting at corner .

lol ,ty ty ,What I really want ,,,is an army of shovelers ! I thought about phoning in tip to FBI saying there are bodies buried under house .

Looks like quite the undertaking..........if you'll pardon the pun.
I helped a guy one summer (I was in my teens and strong like bull) lift his cabin 8' and put a basement underneath it. We used railroad ties to make pilings and track jacks to do the lifting, 4 on each side as I recall. His wife was inside most of the time. We'd take one side up 2-3 inches then the other........then build another layer of ties when it got high enough. Took some time but it was safe and worked really well.

I have a T5C and love it. Had it for 30 months and put about 600 hours on it just playing. Today, I tried to start it and it sounded like the engine froze up. Come to find out I put tarps behind the seat and pushed down on the outrigger levers. Called Terramite and talked to a service tech. Somehow he knew exactly what I had done. Enjoy your Terramite.

I wish it was mine . It belongs to one of my customers . I asked to use it ,of course it needed a ton of work . New hoses on backhoe , intake gasket on engine, never been greased . Amazing how some folks take care of equipment then wonder why it costs so much when it finally dies . I'd been cheaper off renting one after all I have tied up in fixing this one ! lol . Great lil units though .

Fixing your neighbor's T5C may be cheaper than renting one. Where I live it will cost you around $200/day to rent one and $300 for the weekend.

You have a good neighbor. I don't think I would let my neighbor's use mine. Instead, I would do the work for them for free. Saves on repair costs and makes good neighbors that returns favors.

I have an Allmand backhoe/loader- similar to the Terramite, but slightly bigger- hydrostatic drive, plenty of hydraulics for the backhoe. Air cooled 2 cylinder engine- I think its a Koehler, but I'd have to look to be sure. A real neat little rig. Someday I'll learn to post pics.
