I need to replace second gear --top and possibly bottom also--I have gears but not sure how to go about it. I have the top off and have replaced shifting fork before so I know how to do that. Any help will be appreciated

Not familiar with your tractor, but I did tear down a transmission one time. (1) Very carefully lay out stuff in order as well as what is L/R and or Top/Bottom (2) Make lots of notes and sketches (possibly photos, too) (3) Be careful about "forcing" stuff apart/together (4) Thoroughly clean/wipe down stuff as you go along both during teardown and assembly...keep work area CLEAN and Clutter free. (5) BIG LOAD of patience!!
(6) Don't be afraid to ask questions.

pretty basic job with only a few things to pay close attention to

Check your frame for cracks while you have the trans out. 154s are known for the frame cracking.
