1962 gmc dumptruck

anyone know the unladen weight of a 3500 series 1962 gmc dumptruck (single rear axle, 305 V6),or even what a 1962 cab and chassis weighs.Want to trailer one and need to come close on weight,will make a difference on the trailer I need to use.Any informative GMC websites out there.thanks, bill m.

Dont know what the dump bed is, so I had a 65 GMC V6 4 speed flat bed and it was about 6700lbs with 3 1/2foot racks on it. I think that should give you an idea of the weight. Bandit

My late fathers (I own it now) 66 3/4 ton,305v6,4spd weighs about 4500.I hauled it 700+miles with a '70 F100(302)/goosneck from Eastern Ks. to WesternCo. over the continental divide,plus 2 other passes.take your time,and get hone safe.

mine weighed about 7000 lbs with 12' flatbed dump

You hauled it that far with a little 302??!?!? Man, you must really know how to drive because most guys these days would be using some huge decked out Dodge Ram Dually or some other type of overly powerful rig. Major props.
