some haying pics this August

I just wanted to share a few pictures from this busy summer. Trying to get hay put up while working a 10/4 schedule has been pretty difficult, but at least we had one nice day for it!
This is my haying rig: JD 1630 pulling a NH 276, towing a new-to-us 20ft wagon of unknown make. We've fit as many as 210 bales on the wagon, but not on this day. We power the Little Giant hay elevator with the Fordson Major Diesel.
My wife is by far the best looking hay helper I've ever had :)

My wife used to drive the tractor when we were baling. But then I got her a baler with a thrower for our anniversary. She says it was the best anniversary present that I ever gave her.

oh come on! that looks like her sweatin on the wagon and your drivin the tractor....remember pictures dont lie.

Very nice pics . I also noticed how musular your wifes arms are .She must not be afraid to work . Brings back memories of my X wife . She & I worked together at everything . Actually she could out work me . I sure miss having her with me . So, enjoy every day you have each other . God bless

Looks like you could raise that guide wheel and lower that pickup a tad. Then get your sorry self back there on the hayrack and your wife on the tractor. As she looks under 18 there's child labor laws you know:)

I've had her baling when I've been busy loading bales into the hayloft, but she's just not that comfortable operating the equipment. The hay lying around the field is in the ruts, and I'm unable to pick it up anyways.
My wife is quite fit, but none of her work is in the gym; it's all around the house and barn, cleaning up after her horses, tending to the other critters about, and chasing our two young boys. Our second son had his first birthday on August 4, and she looks like that... she's my little slice of heaven.
She loves being told she looks half her age, and that's why I ask her for ID all the time!

It looks to me like you've got the kind of wife most men dream about loading those frizzy bales on that big old wagon. I hope you've got sense enough not to work her too hard....she's a winner....cherish her.

Jason: Thanks for the pictures. Your wife looks like a real keeper. When my wife and I were married 60 years ago she drove tractor on the baler and I wrapped wired.

Great pictures! My wife always drove the tractor. I said "Any woman the drive an old JD D with an IHC 45 baler and a wagon made out of 35 Ford axles and keep the whole mess together is a keeper". Been married 46 years in December. I did make some money from the other guys on the wagon betting on which windrow she'd take next!
