....Or.....

I sure wish I hadn"t done that!

I went to put a new belt into my F250 w/7.3L diesel before going to work. I slipped with the wrench and broke a nipple off the radiator! You know, I never knew it was made of PLASTIC! I never really thought about it. Well, not going to be working today, and I"m just off to the radiator shop to see what they can do. Hopefully it isn"t too much $$$!

Have a nice day!

oh that sux you may need a new one plastic is hard to fix well usualy its less foolin around to just put in a different one and be done with it

I've had good success with JB Weld to repair a plastic radiator in an '87 Aerostar. Repair was still working three years later when I sold the van.

I've had great success with generic "Plastic Repair Epoxy" from ACE hardware. I repaired the plastic main drive shaft on a dishwasher with it years ago and it's still working great (knock on wood). I didn't think it would be nearly strong enough, but just tried it as a last-ditch effort because the replacement part was more than a new dishwasher.

I have a saying that I quote frequently. "The day you didn't learn something is the day you died" Bet you won't do that again! The human brain no mater how old it is, has the capacity to learn, Too bad it forgets what it learns so quickly!

i have used a copper coupling that would fit inside and used jb weld on the outside to make a repair before.
