Ok so I finally got around to putting it up. Not sure I did it right since I do not have the correct center pole or stacks but at least it is up. So guys does it look right?? Tag in the tent says it was made in Aug. 1950. I was in the navy so I have no idea if it looks like it should or not so maybe some one here can tell me if I have it sent up close to right.

I was kidding one of my deer hunter the other day that it was set up so they could sleep in it and then get up opening morning and be on site but not sure if any or them would want to do that.

Bet it was very cold unless you did that in the summer. I had to guess as to how tall to make the center post but seems to be ok but wish I had the floor part of it and the wood stove would also be nice LOL

I know you guys had it better than we did, But I was a "LEG" -- LOL

My brother though was Air force in the Aleutian Islands . said he spent many nights sleeping in a High lift he ran to make potable water.for the radar bubbles,-- blizzards would come up and "O" visibility.

looks ok.My Uncle Henri had one set up at the Burlingame campground in RI.He was in the CCC crew that put the camp gound in place. He had a wooden floor and stayed most of the summer.I spent a lot of time there with him and my aunt.

Old, you should be able to pick up the stove, floor pan and liner for them. If you are any where near an Army base, check out the DRMO. They are always getting rid of excess and obsolete equipment. Can usually get the stuff real cheap.

Ford lost in the wood is about 40 miles from me so I might just check it out. I'd just like to have the rest of the stuff just in case something odd happened and a person might need a tent so they can pick up and hide out

Me and another guy spent the better part of a winter living in one of those out on a German airbase when I was stationed in Germany. Do I miss Germany? Somethings I do, but since you just reminded me, somethings I don't. Shoveling snow away from the opening to our tent for months...I don't.
