Ford 1300 with 770 loader

I have a ford 133 with a 770 loader, just recently got the tractor running. The loader will only raise no matter which way you move the stick and the bucket will only drop. Any advice will help.

I wonder if the pressure line and return line are switched ?? Oil trying to go thru the valve backwards..See if valve spools travel the full way without binding..Anything sticking??

I am not very experienced at this, but do you mean the in and out lines? I switched them yesterday and the loader would raise, but would not go down and the bucket would still only drop. I have a Victor Fluid Power, Inc 2 Valve. 1 main line coming in on the driver side , 1 line going out on the outside and 4 lines going to the rams. I am not sure if any of these lines are correct. Any help on explaining where each line go would be great. Thanks.

Most control valves have an inlet , which usually has a relief valve nearby on the inlet section of the valve..On the oposite side of the valve the return line usually attaches..Then off the top or bottom of the valve are 4 lines in your case that supply oil to the different functions of the valve..Those 4 lines control lift and lower of boom and roll back and dump of bucket..Look at the way the lines are plumbed..Are the lines for the boom lift in row with the valve spool, and the same with the bucket spool..One line lifts and the other lowers on the boom valve spool..If they're crossed it just won't work..One cylinder will work against the other..

They all appear to be as you describe, plumb correctly. Spool valves side by side and lines (2) plumb and attached on top each spool valve. Could the lines themselves be reversed? Another words could they be attached to the wrong end of the cylinder rams themselves?

It could be that the valve is set up for power beyond, if it is there will be a second plug on the return side of the valve, remove that plug and run a hose from there to the resevoir and see if that helps.
