Need help with timing engine

Friend is assembling 4 cylinder Duetz engine out
of skid steer. There is a tool used to time the
camshaft to the crankshaft that has two pins
inserted in the cam and crank and somehow another
piece is used to correctly time the engine. All this is hearsay. Where can tool be found and
what do you call it? Any help is appreciated.

He is correct, Duetz has a timing pin arrangment. Friend of mine has a stump grinder with a Duetz and a timing belt.He wanted me to change the belt, I couldn't find the pins either. He had to take it to a Duetz dealer a 100 miles away.

that reminds me of an 8n ford was working on years ago at cousins suto shop, always told #1 TDC align marks etc... well this certain ford had to be timed with all 4 pistons at mid-stroke, only that seral number though. fought for weeks with that thing.
