Anybody know what temp the high exhaust temp is suppose to be set at? Havent worked the 1586 real hard this summer, but today we were chopping corn and the EGT light came on, I punched in the temp and the high temp is set at 990, I swear it use to be 1100, don't know if the computer glitched or not. It only went over 1000 for 30 seconds or so while going through some tall green corn and then ran around 750 - 850 through the rest of the field. Thanks for any help.

Don't know about IH 1586 piston material, but aluminum pistons get "REAL" soft at 1100 degrees.lol

My 830 CASE Runs at 1400 For about 5-10 minites them will run at 1600 all day long/My Tractor Does NOT have a Turbo,it never had one ever.I turned the fuel up 30 years ago,add the pyro just to see how hot it was.Turbo tractors cant run over 1100 for long times.most tractors that run over 1100 will BURN the Ex valves before melting the pistons

1150 is the max it should run on a short pull. Check your air filters,if they are dirty the egt's will run high
