massey ferguson model????

Hi all.. we have a massey was told when we purchased was a 165 bought the book does not match the tractor. serial number 9A TO 9666 engine number 37112630 3.. would guess a 60 to 70 hp from size of tractor
any ideas on where to redearch the serial numbers?

This site has serial numbers. The T is most likely a 1 followed by a zero. 9A 109666. A 165 is about 60 engine H.P. and a very good tractor. Dave

Hi Frank, Many get that lst "1" in the s/n mixed
up and call it a "T" I believe you have a s/n of
109666 which makes it a 1971.There are many diff.
engines/trans/ fenders,(std. or rowcrop) and choice of wheels etc that it may look unlike the book. Your # on eng would make it a Perkins,but I don't know if gas or diesel. There was a Cont. gas, Perkins gas and a
Perkins diesel. If that is correct s/n it would be a Perkins gas or diesel,but your book may show
Continental. Others will have more ideas, Chuck
