Just a few pictures from the SCRAP (Sandusky County Restorers of Antique Power) show in Gibsonburg, OH from the weekend. Good turnout I think they said 458 registered tractors on display. Just posting a few of the unique tractors I found. First two pics are a Farmall M with Sheppard Diesel Conversion, next is a Farmall Cub with a Kubota diesel conversion, and finally a Cockshutt 20 with half tracks. Great show and lots of fun.

Restored? I highly doubt they came with a chrome straight pipe from the factory. I think they would look a lot nicer if they had the original type muffler and exhaust. Dave

It makes me puke to see an old tractor that someone has spent much time and money and then they put on a pos chrome exhaust pipe. I'm all the time searching for old tractors and when I find something I want and it has a chrome pipe I won't waste my time contacting the seller.

The diesel powered Cub belongs to my brother, Gary. That is not just any old chrome exhaust pipe, that is a genuine Harley Davidson muffler. Should you ever see this tractor and the work put into it, you would change your attitude about what an individual may do to his own personal tractor.

Incidentally, you will never have to worry about seeing this tractor in any for sale ad!!!! Gene

He did an awesome job fitting that kubota in there. Definitely some fine craftsmanship. I can imagine the many hours spent to get it just right. Love the decals "Cubota", certainly creative.

Thanks, John;

This tractorhas been an attention getter everywhere he shows. Even had good compliments from the purists at RPRU. He exhibited it at Portland show and Probably put 5 miles on it. Would see it all over the grounds with a different driver from our group... Gene

it was a nice show..seen the cub, sure did a nice job on it...most bradleys ive ever seen in one spot....pg

looks like a lot of nice work was done and he needs to be thanked for bringing it to shows so people can enjoy it If a chrome pipe makes someone puke they have a very weak stomach!!

Nice show and good pics. The weather was great and usually it's hot enought to boil your brains but tnis weekend was super. I always enjoy watching the horse drawn plows and remember grampa working his farm with horses.

I love old tractors, restored or original and I see lots of them at shows.
I, for one, also appreciate innovative changes made by those who have the knowledge, imagination and ability to make those changes.
These are beautiful examples of the latter!!
The builders deserve respect and admiration.
Can you imagine if every "32 Ford at a car show had its original 4 or flathead V-8? It"d be kinda boring, don"t ya think?

I wouldn't mind the chrome as long as it is stated that the tractor is refurbished and not restored.

Same for really shiny paint, if they want to use it. Refurbished, not restored.

Reminds me of those "restored" tractors that have simply had a rattle can of paint sprayed on them over grease and all.
